Tacchini
Charlotte de La Grandière was commissioned by the prestigious Italian furniture house “Tacchini” to design and conceptualise their 300-square-meter stand for Il Salone del Mobile at Fiera - Milano 2024.
The aim was to present the brand's new collection, in a more realistic, less commercial way. Breaking with the conventional codes of trade exhibition design. The different rooms of a house (living room, dining room...) were expressed through a exaggerated, non-dispersed accessorizing (accumulation of books on a single table, accumulation of plates on a sideboard...). Creating unity for the presentation by working on a range of refined colors specific to each room and which cooperate cohesively together. The same approach was applied to the selection of upholstery fabrics, selecting fabrics that are not usually used
in decoration, but rather in fashion.
Charlotte worked closely with the project architect (for the structure, lighting, openings, and circulation between each room), and with the graphic designer for the choice of typography and composition of for labels and photos
in the gallery space.
The aim was to create a sensation of purity, comfort and timeless elegance.

Rue Hérold
Charlotte de La Grandière created the “Rue Hérold” brand in 2010 with the aim of facilitating access to high quality upholstery fabrics and making these readily accessible. Rue Hérold's fabric collections express a relaxed, minimalist aesthetic that is inspired by healthy, natural fibres (linen, cotton, wool), with a soothing and homogeneous, colour palette. Made in France, Belgium and Italy, the fabrics are deliberately discreet and unassuming, designed to meet
needs, rather than fabricate them.
The boutique, a sleek, functional 100-square-meter space with unobtrusive decor, was located at the heart of Paris, near the Palais Royal and welcomed both private and professional customers. For “The World of Interiors”, it was “one of the most stylish shop spaces in the city.” The store is now closed; however, the fabric collections remain available for special projects and discerning
professionals.
The ambition moving forth is to utilise Rue Hérold’s expertise to fuel creative projects and counsel architects and fashion brands, looking to meaningfully develop their own, home collections.
